Gear stick movement

  Renault Clio 1.2
I have recently bought a Clio Mk2 1.2 "v" reg. It has apparently only done 33,000 miles and drives as if this it true, but no service history. Anyway, when I have my hand on the gear knob and the car is slowing down I sometimes get movement in the gear stick, especially in 2nd and 4th before I change gear. This only happens when decelerating. Has anyone else noticed this and does anyone know if this is worth worrying about and what might be causing it?

  Coilovered Clio Dynamique
The other week i went to take off quickly in 1st in the wet and when the wheels spun the car jumped out of gear! Couldnt believe it!

mine does this in all gears

take foot off the gas and the gear stick does like a lil backwards and forwards movement lol

it is on all clios,
but if you think yours is worse than it should be,

check the gearbox mount,

Yeah happened to me a couple of times when I accidently did a wheelspin.

As said it's clio's for you they have cheap gearboxes it's the one thing I don't like about the Clio, everything else I love. :D

Is exactly the same, if not worse in a Megane.
Slight bit of acceleration or lifting off and it does its weird dance until the speed levels out again! Apparntly in the Megane the mounts can be upgraded to reduce movement but not something that really bothers me. Also not had the coming out of gear problem mentioned above.
