Gear Stick Surround on 182the gear

the leather/plastic gear stick surround on my 182 is broken it needs replacing. how do you get the nob off to slide another one on? (boom boom)

You can't it's glued on.

The gear gaiter has a plastic thing gripping it at the top,
​is that's what broke?

The gaiter?

Unclip it from the tray at the bottom and pull it inside out over the gear knob.

New ones are less than tenner if it is that.

where it clicks into the dash at the bottom one of the clips has broken.

Just stick a few self tappers into the gaiter surround and pop it down under the ridge in the dash hole.

There's a plastic O ring at the top of the gaiter holding it to the stick.

This. Mine broke too, and just put a self tapper where each clip is.
