Gearbox Codes...would this work?

I phoned Renault and they told me my gearbox codes were:

JB1
a001588
suffix 963

My car is a Vreg 1.2 RT

I need a gearbox and the one im looking at is a Wreg 1.2 8v and the code is JB1184


Does anyone know if this would fit properly with no bother?

Try a renault breakers first, scrap yards are full of crashed 1.2s.

Sort of yes but no forget it get the box with a speedo output.
