gearbox filling point

am i right in thinking its just under the airbox on a 172?

It's easiest to see it from underneath with the undertray removed. I wouldn't fancy trying to get to it from above.

the filliing point?? id imagine it be pretty hard filling it up with oil fron the bottom :s

above is easy, just use a length of hose with a funnel on to fill it.

The fill point is like a white plastic butterfly screw.

is it kinda on the side of the box, near the rad?

ill need to remove the air box then?

i know its 3,5 litres, no way did that much come out tho which is a little odd

take the air box out, then on the fron facing the rad you'll find a white screw you can undue.
