Gearbox Help ASAP.

Any one know of any gearbox specialist in the south ?

Need my box rebuilt seen as 5th is now grinding and sounds horrible :banghead: ,

unless it could be my clutch ? but surely that would grind in all gears not just 5th ?

any help would be good cheers

yer but they want £1200 thats a bit on the steep side considering ive searched on here and they've been done for closer to £300-£325 for just the build :S

Agency transmissions quoted me £275 plus vat

Just had to courier it to them, then they would contact me when its done to get a courier to pick it up again.

Mine went to Agency transmissions first, they didn't seal the box so it leaked!

You could do a alot worse than go to Agency,they have done loads on here and three for us,no problems at all.

£1200 would have been for a genuine Renault service exchange unit.
If you want a rebuild it will be cheaper.

Just out of intrest I have a 2003 53 Clio 172 cup and don't no if the speedo drive is on the box or somewhere else, would anyone happen to no ?
