gearbox help plz ph2 172

hi, ive recently purchased an early 172 ph2, { just sold my reliable golf turbo lol }
had the car 3 days and the gearbox has gone bang, { just my luck }.
im looking for a second hand box to tide me over until i can afford a recon box.
the thing is ive searched and seen that jc5 129/130 is the original sort of box and that you can fit a jc5 or jb3 but when i went searching at my local breakers they have 2 different size bell housings?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi mate thats gay about your box!! ive not heard of anyone putting a williams box in a 172 :S

Its a JC5 so why not? Ratios are slightly different IIRC but not enough to wreck the fun.
