your gearbox has only a very little portion of top speed capability, your gonna need a whole lot more power to do 170mpg. I was referring to the ability of the gearbox, using the current ratios, to hit 150 with a slightly raised rev limit, obviously additional power is needed.

nah k-tecs at 302bhp by next year it'll be even more i can get plenty of golden rupees its just waiting for the right moment so i know everything has been developed well and tested so i dont pay xxxx amount then 8 months later its boosted up another 20bhp, currently getting rid of outgoings i have e.g phone - credit card - tv wait for my insurance to go down again and i'll be ready for the turbo + a wage rise is on the brink soon

yea but with n/a you will only get so far grr god dman clio companies why cant you just be one big one like halfrauds that way we dont have to choose and pick where we go and worry about spending dosh in the wrong place i dont even like going into vardies for spares, last time i was in vardies three of the golden boys where out round my car *fkin hell it looks good wuith the wheels and skirts* you wanna part ex it for anything? erm no ta u keep ur 1.4 ur mam cudnt handle mine (lol lst it was a joke i'm not that brave)

If you thing jap is cheap, just go look at OS Giken stuff........bargain.
If you want a 500bhp 172 engine with a box that can hold it, no problem......but it will not be cheap and it will be based around a totally different gearbox IMO.
