Right having already done this on a 1.4 rt, im confident that i could do it on the Valver. Basically all i did last time was drain the old oil from the drain plug put back the plug and fill it up from a hole at the side of the gear box with auto-transmition fluid (red) until it flowed out, this was at capacity. After i did this the car felt like it had got a new gearbox and solved the problem of not being able to select second.
My question is if i repeat the process on the valver, is the anything i should do/check and is auto fluid ok to use on a high performance car. I was told its the same as synthetic performance gearbox oil by a professional just cheaper! are the filling and emptying positions in about the same place, hard to get to?
