Gearbox Oil Grade

Hi,

Went and got some new gearbox oil yesterday. In my handbook it says it should be 75w80. But when i went down the shop there booklet (Carlube) said 75w90. Is this ok to put in it? Whats the difference? I know its either a bit thinner or thicker! But thats about all!

Thanks

i would go for the correct stuff mate, personal experience but iv tried both and the 75w80 feels better

Go with the manufacturers grade if possible, it's unlikely to cause any terminal damage but may affect shift quality s previously mentioned
