Gearbox oil level

just wondering if anyone knows how to check the gearbox oil level on a k plated valver? sorry only got it saturday and i think it has a leak and i wanna check it?

take the plastic plug out the front of the box, below the airbox, on flat ground it should be level with the hole, ie if its over filled it will flow out
