Gearbox Oil

Hi all,

Is the gearbox oil for a 2002 172 (non cup) 75w-80? And is it fully syn??

Got it booked in to be changed as gear rarely some gear changes are tight and theres like a rattling noise when manouvering/using the clutch to get bite so I'm thinking it may be low? Never crunches or anything like that, apart from in reverse gear occasionally as all cars do!

Only costing £40 to get it done so thought it the best starting point really?

yes and yes... The Renault boxes are very particular on what oil they use though!

You can check your level undoing the plug on the side of the box

It's done 73k now and is due a change anyway so gonna get it changed. Hoping it loosens everything up nicely!
