Gearbox Prob maybe?

Im just wondering wether i should be worried about my gearbox. When im accelerating and then ease off there is a slight vibration noise dont know if thats the gearbox or something else. Also my gear change light is coming on at 2000 revs which im pretty sure cant be right!

Any help would be appreciated

Might be a bad engine mount

Just had uprated ones fitted as mine had sheared clean off, both upper and lower plus the dogbone mount.

Still could be mount problem.

We have fixed the pins that go though the top gearbox mount because they had sheared off

Ill try and check the mounts again, could it be the clutch or flywheel?

I dont think it will be clutch or flywheel.
It could be your exhaust springs they go slack over time.

OK good thought a big bill was on the way! Any ideas on the gear change light?

That could just be a loose connection.

If the gearbox was the culprit the vibration would be present at all times, you could also have difficulties on grear changes and some grinding noise. You should check the mounts as stated before and the cv joints/axles at the gearbox side.
