Gearbox probs

I wonder if any of you can help. When Im slowing down and changing gears from 4th to 3rd or 3rd to 2nd, I sometimes (not all the time) get a slight crunch when I put it into gear. This NEVER happens when Im changing up the gears only when changing.

Any ideas?

Maybe the syncros are going or the cones are worn??

i had a similar problem and i founf that the clutch was knackered sometimes did it going up the gears too

Does that mean that the gearbox is shagged?!?
