Gearbox speedo sensor wires, help please

Can anyone tell me what wires do what? As in colour correspondence?

Neutral
Signal

About to have them wired up to a stack dash and the auto electrician doesn't want to do guess work and blow the dash up as it costs over a grand! Lol

Easy to find out with a multimeter, one will have 12v, one will be earth continuity, the other will be signal.

This isn't a normal car though. All we have is a speedo sensor and 3 inches of wire as the whole car has a one off loom.
