Got my copy this morning, but won't be able to play until tomorrow night now, watching Casino Royale tonight.

Was playing Rainbow Six multiplayer demo against some raving homo yanks last night, they kept kicking me out and banning me when I "offended them" oops

Console multiplayer gaming, for some reason just doesn't work Halo used to seriously blow on XBL, just the control systems for FPS games are too unintuitive compared to a mouse/keyboard. PES4 however was a laugh indeed

There is no doubt in the world that the ideal controls would be mouse/keyboard as you can be more accurate with the mouse than pad....but Gears of war is one of the better attempts. But it is VERY annoying when you run near a corner sometimes and it backs up against it lol

Playing GOW with a mouse and keyboard would probs be worse than a pad I reckon.

FPS does pwn on PC. But you soon get the hang of FPS on a console. COD3 only took like an hour to get to grips with.

Only played briefly online GOW with Clart but liked it.

And Ozzy you saying Halo sucked online? It was one of the most popular online games so I dont know how you figured that out?

I figured that out because I played it for a about 2 weeks and came to that conclusion. Yes it may have been popular in terms of XBL, but it had been bundled with millions of units and it was one of the first offerings to promote the XBL platform. The controls on a pad blow, the games were dull and the people were from all sides of the galaxy with all sorts of dodgy pings.

Basically I'm a fan of the platform for racers and PES for example, but FPS just doesnt lend itself to console gaming, it just does not work well.

Take for example BF2, on the PC it sublime, on the Xbox it's the biggest pile of shite i've ever played. Same deal of Rainbow Six...shocking, and the graphics blew online.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the game and what they tried to do - But while I have a PC sitting there, I would always choose the PC over any console multiplayer in the FPS/TP genre. It just feels right.

Nopes, not played either to be honest. Not going to get a 360, going to go for a Wii instead, looks like fun, and it's something i can't do on a PC.

Sure they're good games, just after trying numerous FPS on consoles over the years, none of them have captivated me. GTA3/VC played well on the Xbox though tbh.

Edit - I had Halo 2 online too, same applied.
