Getting bucket seats in the 172

Soooooo. This maybe a silly question.

Getting bucket seats to fit In the 172

do I need to get side mounts and runners. What happens to the existing runners and bolts of the current seats are they just binned?



basically I need an idiots description of what I need

too make it easy you will need a subframe too bolt down too the car, you can then add a slider on top of the subframe but this is optional but recommended for a daily, and then the side mounts sit on top.
Seats can be both side mounted or mounted from the bottom (most are side mounted)
But luckily I have 2x subframes with sliders for sale if your interested
