Getting rid of rear wiper, help needed!!!

  Mk1 Maxim Sport
I managed to fill a hole in on my mates car today with some body filler, sanded it down, primed it and then sprayed it and finally laquered it, it looks cracking and im wondering if its the same process to remove the rear wiper. I havent tried undoing it but im guessing it just unbolts, and then fill the hole in etc etc? am i right?? could anyone tell me if its an easy job or not?? ta

Oh and i missed summat, theres quite alot of rust around the base of the rear wiper so would it be advisable just to get rid of it and stop the rust, im tinting my rear window anyway so i dnt need a rear wiper do i?

pretty big hole to just filler, it'll need either a small plate welding in place or fibreglassing with the sheet stuff or something stuck on the back of it like a credit card with some bonding addhesive.

you'll need to hammer down the actual circle too so its dented as even though it may not feel raised, it is, so hammer it in a bit so its dented.

then fibreglass/fill n prime. aint a hard job tbh.

yea piece of piss, will just be like the big nut on the actual arm, then snap the wiper left n right as it will be pretty tight. then drop the tailgate liner off and its generally just 3 bolts and a plug
