Cant be bothered to read this.. sorry.
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS ON THE ROAD
If you cannot do it- and have to ask - then what you're actually asking for is TROUBLE.
You will end up backwards and things can wrong quickly and very possibly also very badly.

Better then him trying it without any knowledge and stacking it.
The replies have told him how to do it properly, what to expect and watch out for and have emphasised that it must be done in a safe location.

Oh well thats ok then!
First of all, go to a huuuuuge carpark, with nothing to hit.
For those saying he shouldnt learn this, its a very good idea to learn, and more should try it. The more car control you have should things go shi*t shaped, the better. But do it in a carpark at 2am.
You cant drift a clio, you're just dragging the back wheels behind you. Thats not drifting. As soon as you put more power down, the car will correct itself. You can however get the tail to step out. Go to a carpark and practice, after a while you'll work it out mate.
place your bets! how long until he crashes
go to a track day! NOT ON THE f**kING ROAD!
Go too fast and brake late in a corner, that usually does it.
