Getting the steering wheel centred after steering rack removal

  Mk2 172 Cup
I removed the rack from my car and iv tried 3 times now to get the wheel straight but every time im driving down a road the wheel is wonky, can I just remove the steering wheel and move it? If u get me, can I take the wheel off, straighten it up then put it back on?

Simply answer, no. As it will only go on one way. Get it tracked on a four wheel alignment, preferably a Hunter system.

As above the wheel only goes one way as it has one spline thats different from the others, even if you could you would still be better doing the above and getting it on a hunter or similar

Well let's start with the obvious question. What did you do to the track rod ends? Adjust them/nothing/replace
