Giving it the beans?

  328, MK1 Clio 1.4
do you mean how often?

During the week none, as there is too much rush hour traffic, on the weekend or evenings, most of the time if it is safe, that is why I have a fast car,

When warmed up, most of the time.

It wasnt designed to be driven below 5k so why do so?

Not very often atm, as most of my journeys don't allow it to get to full temp. As soon as it does I'm on the hunt for country roads.

I did once, it was a tad dangerous though. I like to keep it below 5k revs now. It is alot easier to control then.

i dont even go that high, the vvc v-tec y0 kicks in then and every time i did that the world went blurry, and i had danger to my manifold then the floor pan fell out , FACT

Surely the OB is boring ?

its basically a motorway right ? straight line speed doesn't intrest me :(

the OB can be fun, if you want to test the top speed legally, yes its not always safe, but it is fun going fast, i prefere track days, but i loved driving on the OB when i was last over in Germany

Weekends only really, but I don't give it the beans I give it death. I only like driving on roads like Colin that are empty, no paths etc, and whenever I see another car I get back on the right side of the law!. You never know when you might get a puncture etc that could pull you into another car.

never i stick to the limit all the time and keep it under 3k revs. now if you will excuse me i have to go fill out my staffordshire police form so i can claim my 3 points and £60 fine lol.

I used to give it the beans. But I ended up back in 1985 once so don't do it anymore.

Seriously though every day. But not all the time obviously. Usually just when screaming past some lloyd in their Corsa.

Usually everyday tbh. So much fun, my route to work s quality as well s its so hard to resist the temptation.

What car you got?

  Clio 172
Only up to about 3k to and from work because of traffic, but when I'm in a funny mood - I'll give it some stick

As soon as shes upto temp i give it beans, pretty much whenever i can. I always wonder if it will do any 'serious' damage?

mines on 132k now and it gets used properly by me and its till fine, thats what they are meant for!

  172 Cup
Most days on the way home from work I'll rev it, not massively though, but past 5k cos it makes me smile.

Can it do long term damage?
I mean if its serviced properley and warmed up enough, surely its built for it?

Always at the end of those endless 50 limits on the M1.
I don't normally rag it too much living in the middle of town and all, but on country lanes why the hell not - may as well drive a Micra otherwise :)

Same.

I tried to blast down a motorway sliproad last night before the engine was warm enough and embarrassingly hit the limiter. Luckily I was only overtaking a Micra.

Must go out for a drive this weekend, I've just stuck £50's worth of V-Power in

EDIT: Just realised Micra was mentioned in the post above haha
