Glovebox rattle update 3

Just got the 182 back from the dealers, they've had it for 4 hours, had the dash out and fixed...




you guessed it...nothing.

All along I have told them its the glovebox door thats rattling and the guy tries to tell me part of the alarm system in the dash was loose. Ive ended up putting a piece of foam on the back of the glovebox door to make it tighter to close and hey presto, fixed.

Its still going back though, by God they will fix it before this is over.

I cant live with it, if they cant fix it as much as I love that car I will sell it as it is driving me bloody mental.

Mine rattles from the glovebox as well (it has from day one), if you push the glovebox in it seems to stop. If you ever get to the bottom of it, then let me know. The dealer looked at mine and couldnt find where it was coming from.

What I did was wrap a piece of foam around the left hand thing that holds the door in place. Then when I went to close it there was a bit more resistance, once it was closed properly it seemed to stop rattling. ive to drive to the airport later so i'll know then for sure.

turn the radio up! is it really bad? mine rattles but its not loud

It is bad, i'm very fussy with these things as well which doesn thelp. I have to have the music at volume level 24 before I stop hearing it!

Same as mine, and it annoys me to the point I will drive along putting pressure on the glove box just to get some peace!!
