godspeed brakes

anybody have these or heard anything about them? they have a choice of 4 pot kits, their own version at £595, and another which has their own gear also except for the calipers which are brembro at £750...

The best pads are made by Ferodo.

The best brake kits are made by AP racing.

Godspeed have an excellent reputation. Ian can make up any brake set up you want. He makes his own top quality bells & discs which can be grooved & slotted if the customer requires & supplies Ferodo, Mintex, Brembo etc parts to go with them.

Thats a sweeping statement Rob. I take it you have dealt with EVERYONE of these companies to qualify that they are so so??

There are other brake and pad manufacturers out there which are just as good as the ones you name. Pagid pads are every bit as good as Ferodos. Alcon & KAD make superb brake set ups. Brembo dont make the best discs or pads around but the callipers are excellent & just about the best you can get for feel.

No theyre not, Brembo are just a name. Brembo own Ap racing..where the R&D is actually spent..your mate Ian should know that.

Who said he was a bloke working in a garage? And he isnt my mate either. He does have some nice CNC machines though and knows a thing or two about brakes & has a lot of satisfied customers. Being biggest isnt always being best

What brake manufacturer do Ferarri, Subaru, Mitsubishi etc etc use??

Take a look on the RS Owners Club board - quite a few people have had problems with Godspeed in the past.
