going for new head unit and component speakers..as follows:

Iam just after upgrading front speakers and head unit as iam not really into booomming down the high street. is it worth upgrading the rear speakers? i dont really carry any people in the rear so i am thinking i wont bother.

ive been reading alot about the rainbow speakers and by the looks of it you carnt really go wrong for what you pay and the sound quality seems to be very good on what people say.

will the speakers run good with just the alpine unit? hopefully i wont need an amp?!

them comps sound incredible i can vouch for that you wont be dissapointed but what would you expect from one of the best brands in the world however can i suggest the 9812rb for the same price is a better unit allround that glidetouch is a pain to use

kool, the 9812rb is 50 note more though, unless its the same price somewhere else??

I like the glide touch on mine find it really easy to use without looking at the unit.

with the comps do i need an amp or is the head unit powerfull enough

headunit will power them but they will sound massively better on a nice amp.

i have the 9853r and its a brilliant headunit, the gilde touch is weird for the first 10 minutes then you get used to it and its fine.

i would'nt bother with them comps unless you were gonna amp em as you wont get the best from em and such speakers are not worth getting unless amped, that goes for comps in general
