good buy? or a lemon?

There's no mention of a cambelt change which is well overdue. As it's a cup it will be around £300/350 at a specialist. Also a bit picky I know but it won't have rear headrests. Hate adverts that are incorrect.

The black one looks good. Again no mention of cambelt and that will be about £450 on non-cup. Give them a ring and get the price down.

Mileage warrants the price, £3k that your wanting to spend would have it sitting with the belts done good colour as well. Go have a look at it would do no harm.

It looks messed with to me, i would only buy a standard car, If he has reciepts and other stuff for services / work undertaken then maybe

have looked on pistonheads, however the prices seem to be higher on there by a fair bit. i would also be looking to sell my 1.2 16v, but dont know how much i should expect to get from it. i bought it 2 years ago and have spent a fair bit on it. it has g-max lowering springs, a k&n 57i induction kit, £750 17" team dynamics arnage powdercoated alloys, rear window tints (although not to some peoples taste),a custom stainless C&C exhaust (which makes the car sound very good for a 1.2),has recently had the belts and waterpump done and it has done 59k miles. Anyway heres a picture of my current car http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l637/scott_davis3/IMG_0070.jpg
thanks

I wouldn't touch the Cup. Just looks terrible and it would help if the guy had actually cleaned the f**king thing. That black on on the other hand looks good. I really don't understand why he didn't sort the boot net out and hoover the s**t out of the boot, what the hell do people think their doing when trying to sell a car.

View as many as you can and drive a few to get a feel of what your looking for. Don't jump into buying one (speaking from experience). Keep an eye on the for sale threads on here, as regularly well cared for members cars go cheap!

Oh and if selling yours, put it back to standard it will widen your market and you'll make some pennies from selling mods on here/ebay

cheers for the advice guys. i will keep an eye out on here and if anyone hears about any good ones going around the glasgow area if you could give me a shout. As for my car i think i will put it back to standard and then sell it on from there.
Thanks

Seen some on gumtree earlier posted up today didn't really look at them though. That black one is well worth looking at very good price for the mileage.

I thought that.

found another 182 on gumtree, its got low miles and looks good, i have message the guy and he will consider a p/x against my car as he is looking for something with a smaller engine.
heres the link for the car: http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/clio-182-inferno-orange/84669850
anyone seen it before?
and if i go to look at it what should i look out for? and what would be a good deal (as i am assuming that the deal will involve cash his way)
i am also aware that it will need tax and that this will be around £240 for a year and that i would probably be better changing the belts in a year or so.
thanks

My advise to you if you were thinking about doing a p/x is if you can get your car back to standard if you can ie original wheels put the standard springs back in take of any tints ect ect. This will give you a much better footing if you are going to try and do a deal with the guy. If you have not kept your standard stuff then you can't do this. The 182 looks tidy and is reasonable price for the mileage but obviously take someone who knows about cars if you went to look at it. I don't know what mileage your car or the condition ie dents scrapes so I don't know what yours is worth roughly. Modded cars are always going to be sold at a lower price to your average person if at all. That's why I always keep my standard items stored to put back on.
