Good Gearbox Oil

So as above, what's the best gearbox to use in a 182 gearbox?

Might be loads of threads, but not many actually say what oil is good, just the grade

i stuck valvoline in mine. Just make sure you get the stuff specific for renault and peugeot boxes.

Thanks for that, ordered 3 litres of it, it isnt cheap but I'd rather the car was the best it can be

Yep, 3L should see you well enough you can never fully drain the box

Have you allready bought it mate? We could of got the 5x1 lite and a extra 1 litre it would of been cheaper and would have 3l each

so many different opinions/advice about gearbox oil

alot of people on here say 75w-80, yet the specialist who rebuilt mine says you should use 75w-90, in fact he pretty much condemned using 75w-80!

im using the total bv75w80 at the sec as i have 10 litres of the stuff , works fine

Has any body ever used 80w90?

The first number is to do with the oil thickness at really low temps and my track car won't be used in -20 degrees temps

You gotta be careful, there is a reason for the type of oil I.e trj, trz, trx if you use the wrong stuff the additives can eat away at the bronze etc in the box!
