Good time to buy brand new

I had replied with this question in another post, and was somewhat hijacking that.

Is there ever a good time to buy a car esp a brand new one, 2nd biggest purchase after a house some might say.... h'anyways.... Is there a period that we are coming upto in the year when even hot hatches like the R27 will come down in price, or is it just luck on the day with what price a stealer can offer you...

friday afternoon in the last week of the month i would say?

dealers will be wanting to hit sales targets so will be more inclined to offer a good deal.

R26/27 - you'll never get a good day to be honest as there isn't much of a margin for these, but as a general rule if you came in towards the end of the month (and your car was delivered/taxed before month end) then you will probably find you get a slightly better deal. Note that it's only if it goes out in the same month, as that counts for that month target!
