Got me a powered mic and a loooong lead for my b'day, for a laugh I stuck it up the airbox inlet pipe with promising results. Should be good for trackdays :approve:

POWERRRRRRRRR

The tip of my little finger is bigger. Doubt it'll restrict it too much...or will it? Genuine question as I'm clueless on mechanical things.

And when I say stuck it up, I mean I crocodile clipped it to the inner edge of the trumpet where the acoustic valve is (I think) so it's not like right up inside.

I shouldn't think it'd be too restrictive then, my old one was about the size of a grape, so I'd have thought that would have made a difference, but not as small as yours.

If you're not seriously competing and don't notice a power drop, shouldn't be a problem, unless it gets sucked up the intake

It's clipped on quite firmly so ought to hold on alright.

I've no wind shield on it either...not sure if it's worth it...sounds good enough as is I think. On a trackday, so long as the inlet airflow stops it melting it should be ok.
