Google Chromebook

So it appears that after 6 years my Inspiron 1525 has finally given up the ghost, is refusing to turn on.
Is the chromebook a good replacement for the 1525 or can someone recommend me something better for the price?

I looked into one recently but decided against it due to not being able to install programs like the rstuner software.

I got 10 inch netbook for £200 with a 1.7ghz dual core processor and 4gb ram.
