GoPoint GL1 iPhone/iPod Touch OBD Diagnostics Cable

Just ordered one of these coz im a geek...!

It's basically a cable that plugs into the OBD diagnostics port on your car and allows data to be sent to your iPhone or iPod touch.

Cable -

Can be used with a number of apps including Dash Command and Fuzzy Car which both provide data logging, fault code reading and clearing and onscreen dials which you can customise to display anything!

Been looking at a few options lately including the wireless versions you can get for around £150 but the cable seems to be more reliable and charges too.

So it's like a rubbisher (it's a new word) version of RS Tuner then...without the mapping?

Lol. No it doesn't map.

But it's portable and you can customise skins to show you proper dials on screen, etc.

I just though it was handy for fault code reading, etc too.

Griffin are to release something similar soon called the CarTrip.

Yeh CarTrip looks lame! lol. Meant for economy!

I didnt get this in the end. They're due to release a newer version I think.

Looking into software for laptop too.

Too many to choose from!
