Got a blow from my manifold!!

Just noticted a slight blow coming from my manifold aint sure if its where the join is or if its cracked how hard is it to fit a new manifold as i was thinking of just buying a new one but looks pretty hard to get to. And also if i put a new manifold and decat on with an aftermarket exhaust will the car be over the top to loud cheers.

172 4>1 manifolds are fairly cheap. the 182 manifold is 4>2>1 and better so go for around £200/£250. A 172 one is easily had for about £80 maybe £65

All exhausts make a different amount of noise. Go for a Ktec stealth
and buy a silenced decat

A 182 manifold is not a bolt on job. It requires a custom cat/ decat section

I was thinking about buying a sport manifold and sports cat been told if i decat it it will bring the warning light on the dash board and ill have to keep changing it back when i take my car to mots the aftermarket exhaust im guna get is a from prospeed a custom made exhaust.

yes - decats fail MOT and the light will come on
No - there are no "performance" or "sport" manifolds available for your engine only the 182 manifold.

Some people prefer the 172 manifold to the 182 one to.

I know but that fits the 172 thats wat it says at ktec aint sure if im guna change the manifold might just put a performance cat and ktec stealth cat back on my car hopefully manifold aint cracked and its just a blow on the join

you wont get a much better manifold than the 182 one for these cars, its already really well designed

The 172 manifold isn't bad either tbh! Just depends on your preference of the charatersictics of a 4-1 or 4-2-1.

^^ as above i'm very happy with my ph1 manifold 4-1 suits the car wont be swaping 4 a 182 number.
