Got a GoPro!

Got a GoPro for my birthday from my parents, so happy! Thought i would do a quick video of my drive to work yesterday. Im still experimenting with good places to put it, any ideas would be welcome!

How about above the windscreen pointing down so you can see the road, but also a bit of the bonnet? (like you get in racing games?)

I tried something like that on the way home but mounted it on the roof but too far back and it looked trippy as hell with the car turning one way and the reflection of the sky going the other way! Il try mounting it just about the windscreen and see what its like!

Thanks man Ive had it under the mirror which is good but got reflections of the dash which looked a little Poo! me you and James should go out for a play down the Biggar road one day

Adagio for strings, Ah takes me back that does, Good Video, I Gather you just set the quality low for a quick upload? is it the 720p go pro or the 1080 go pro 2? Go pro 1 may do 1080, but im not sure ...Well i guess mounting options are alot less when you don't have a roll cage?

Edit: Sorry didn't see the link you posted, yes the HD hero 1, i'd still like to know if that one does 1080 ?

Theres GoPro 960 mk1 and GoPro 1080p mk1. Then the new Hero 2 which is 1080 only.

haha yea! just set my iTunes by length and it was the most appropriate song! Yea i just had it on the lowest resolution because iwas just playing around, pretty sure it does 1080. Yea mounthing options are pretty much only something flat!

To be fair there arent many long straight bits on the Moffat road so you might be able to catch us up in the twistiez with your rock hard race spec coillies!

i'd be careful mouting them to the car with suction cup, my mate did this to ours on an offroading day and it worked loose. crushed gopro fail.

Yea that did cross my mind! I think i might tie some string around it and then trap it between the window and the frame or something as a like fail safe if it does come loose!

You've no idea, theres a house in that cul de sac with it's own house as a garage. Also most other houses in that cul de sac have archways to the front door. His house is poverty spec compared to other ones there.

I am in the UK! Edinburgh Yea there is one house at the top of the road that's worth like 1.2 million or something, tripple garage with upstairs living space separate to the house its so cool! Single woman that lives in it too with her 2 kids!

Lol crazy! Theres a large estate not far from me called Winyard Park, unbelievable houses ther too bit pillars the size of the house at the entrance. We used to drive round wondering were everyone worked and what they did etc...
