Got a new PC...very pleased..

Finally upgraded my P42.6/1gb/6600gt workhorse with a new Dual core 2.8 with a fresh PCIE graphics card 7900. Very pleased with it, gaming quality is superb! What graphic cards everyone using these days?

You'll see a more realistic result from 3Dmark 2006 as that takes advantage of the dual core CPU, 2005 doesn't.

Here at work I've got an Athlon X2 4800 2gb Corsair XMS memory and Crossfired Radeon X1900XTs. It benchmarks 8210 in 3DMark 2006 and 12549 in 2005. It was the fastest machine in the office until I put together two systems last week with the same setup only two nVidia 7900GTX in each. They benchmark 8759 in 3DMark 2006 and 12811 in 2005.

I've been playing Half Life 2 again recently with everything maxed out, god it looks stunning. So crisp and clear. I'm looking forward to Episode 1 which is out the start of next month. Mine is already pre loaded and ready to go.

I've watched all the E3 vids....all of them. lol It was an excuse for 2 days of doing sod all work. The boss came in and asked what I was doing, I said watching E3 vids and he said fine and walked off. lol

Crysis looks amazing. I quite enjoyed Far Cry so I'm looking forward to it.

I was looking forward to S.T.A.L.K.E.R but that's having dev team problems again!! We now employ one of the original producers here. lol

in that case the 4600 ish with the laptop i got yesterday wasnt bad for a 1.8gig core duo with 2 gig ram and a nvidia quadro 2500 graphics card and mine was tested at 1280x1024

can you try it in that resolution ?
