Got mine free with Tesco car insurance lol

Come on guys stop rubbing it in! Although it would have technically cost me more to get it free with Tesco car insurance, about £500 more!!

Is it any good?

Cool, have used some stupidly powerful washers in my short time (stripped paint off a merc once, oops!) and there is still only so much they clean however powerful they are.

I guess at the end of the day it is a hose, what can i expect!!!

Not into detailing (not enough patience) but need something to clean the car with and it seemed like a good deal!

Its allright.

I have the 2.54 version from Tesco and it serves its purpose. Anything over about 100 bar and 240 litres is good.

Just be careful as if something goes wrong with them (after say 200 hours worth of use) they cant be easily repaired like some of the more expensive karchers.

But other then that they do the job fine :)

to be fair after 200 hours of use if it breaks i will be fairly happy to replace it as it was only 50 pounds! Buy the time the warrenty has run out i will have started my graduate job so with any luck i will be able to afford to replace if needed!

Right, im a noob with pressure washer. But if you attach it to the tap, and then leave it on, how does it not blow the hose off the tap from the water pressure ??

Well the pressure in the hose pipe is the same as it would be with a normal spay end thing, like for watering plants. So as long as it is attached to the tap and to the pressure washer securly then it won't come off, sometimes they leak a little.

With the regards to the pressure washer its self not getting damaged/blowing up i think they have a dump valve system, so as the compressure builds the pressure up, when it reaches a set pressure it dumps a little pressure. Think it will also switch the pump off so there is no further build up of pressure. Obviously when it is being used there is no excessive build up of pressure so the pump/compressor will run at full power again... i think this is right anyway!!
