got me a steering wheel

hi ppl hope santa was good to u

i got a sweet momo steering wheel for xmas and wondered if n e one has a guide of how to fit it to my car......my main worry is the air bag any help would be amazing....btw its an 02 extreme

thats a pic of the wheel also got some sparco pedals.....how easy is a new gear knob to fit

thought by removing your airbag you fail your mot dont you?

You only fail the mot if the airbag warning light is constantly on. I think people just take the bulb out.

well you have to put a certain value resistor across the airbag connector, thatll make the computer still think its connected.

Not sure on the value, im sure someone can tell you.

Pretty easy to fit a steering wheel, just use the boss kit (hopefully santa got you one with the wheel) and the wheel bolts to that.

Is that only on Mk2s or is it the same for Mk1s ?

dont you want the airbag ? guess there only for fat americans anyway but they can reduce injury and neck strain

when my steering wheel goes in my mk 1 all ill be doing is takin the bulb out.
