181 @tf what was it at the wheels ?

I think that is at the wheels. My mate spent £'s on mods and he didn't get it rolling roaded so i have been waiting to get it done! I haven't spent anything on it yet. just wanted a base power figure

Oh right! I thought you meant you had no mods - those figures are way too high for a standard car.

What mod's does it have? They're very good figures for a 172 if they're accurate, particularly the torque as Ali pointed out

My post disappeared!

std 172 should be arounf 169bhp and 146ft/lb.

164ft/lb is not shy off ITB cars.

Its not standard though Ali - I'm waiting for Gibson to tell us the mods ;)

Mine made 169.9bhp and 153lb/ft with full stainless cat back and sports cat.

Is that ^^164lbft at the fly perhaps?

-machined and modified inlet and exhaust ports and polished
-Enlarged valve throats and seats
-k-tec sports cat
-full magnex exhaust
-k&n filter
thats about it i think?

Its bloody quick, ill tell you that for free! A lot quicker than the standard 172 cup i was thinking of buying last year!
ITB= integrated throttle bodies i think matey, correct me if im wrong please somebody.

did i just here the word LAD? oh no hehe

fred your alive can i have a price on that race system with decat - 172?
pleeeasssee :)

Mine was 192.6 and 157ft/lb.

I think stoddie ran about 165ft/lb with enlarged TB and cams etc.

All RR's are different tho.

yeah i would like another power run done by someone else and print out. is that good though for my 1st rolling road power run?? :o

i can never understand why people pull an engine apart just for headwork especially on a 172 there not like an reno 5 where there in bits in about 10 minutes

Dyno Dynamics are the rollers to use from what I've read for accuracy.

Sounds like it's a hoot to drive mate ;)

buy a new head std head! it'll have more power LOL ;)

(sorry love a bit of humor)

might have a go at that! :) how much is one? for a base figure is 181.5 ok?? considering the mods what the cars got etc i thought it would have had a wee bit more! (not taking into account the figures by LAD!)

Should it not be kicking out a little bit more bhp people?? Another go on a different RR might be handy to get an average of what the old turkey is kicking out!
On a more serious note i think you need more mods mr Gibson, lumpier cams, different ecu, big feck arse turbo and re map should do the trick.
Then let me behind the wheel! :-) :-) b****cks to holidays for the next 10 years, get a turbo!!!!!!!!!!!

figures look ok, found headwork (done by AWT) beneficial on my 172, ran 181 lbft, get yourself some cams in next.
