Got my RS Tuner today

Bought it second hand so just waiting for my unlock code from henk, no doubt I will be asking for help once I have that, especially as uploading the maps to a 197 is meant to be a bit different to doing it on the 1*2s.

Who on here already has RS Tuner on their 197?

it's easier for the 197 as there are less versions of the ECU and not many choices (chances to mess up) lol

I have the 95ron map and the cold start fix... improved mpg, driveability and overall a better response.
Will get a custom map after I get the new exhaust and de-cat

Well I was going to have a play with this today, but for some reason I had an automated email yesterday at about 18:45 saying order confirmed, then this Morning I have had an e-mail at 7:34 from Paypal saying Henk has refunded me the payment, and another e-mail from Henk saying my payment failed, which it didnt, he refunded me!

Heard back from Henk and all cleared up, tuner unlocked and now just waiting for it to be a bit warmer before I go out and play

Bloody hel, get it whacked on

i have this on my cup, gets to temp faster and smoother power. I have AAS exhaust aswell, mine ran a 183bhp

BUY ONE!!! they are so good, ive had mine just over a month i spose n love it. RStuner + iridium plugs makes the Clio so much more fun, one great thing is i seem to hit the rev limiter alot less as you dont need to take it to 7800 but its nice to go over 6800 or whatever the standard limit is.

RStuner has to be the best mod for less than £200. i wasnt suprised when i didnt see any noticable gains from my Maxogen bearing in mind their £400 but i was amazed at the difference the RStuner gave!!

Any thoughts on next mod's?

STandard limiter is at 7200 when the oil is properly warm on the 1*2's.

im interested in this too. looking to get one next year sometime. heard mainly good reports. do you always have to use 99ron if it is mapped on 99ron? would it still run ok 95ron? are there any downsides to an rs tuner? is it easy to use/install?

I just never got round to it, and now its got wet and horrid just cant be bothered. Will do it in the new year once we get some nicer weather. That way I can do some proper runs to test before and after.

Out of curiosity...have you told your insurance comp your chipping it?
