Got new 172!

Mk2 Phase 2 clio 172. It's amazing lol. especially as my last and only car has been a corsa b 1.2 8v lol. so this is luxury to me lol. Has full exhaust system and sounds mint. Ues up alot more petrol though so i will need to start driving below 3000 revs all time soon.

Just wondered. To check the miles per gallon and other stuff do you just press the end of the right stick? Because when i do it nothing happens? Think it might not work.

yeah should be the small button on right stalk has 3 dots on.. and the lil mileage counter should switch between the 6 or so screens.

i take it your presing hardish? sometimes it needs it. if that doesnt work it sounds a bit broken ad the whole screen should change completeyl

Ye I press reletivly hard and nothing changes. I can reset the mileage count still though.

Whilst we on this subject, how do you get the oil status to display? i.e. the amount etc. I've read somewhere that you need to press a button on the second turn of the key.

Is it not where the mileage count is, it says Oil OK which means it fine and if it says just OIL then it needs sorting?

to do a sort of 'health check', hold the button down before you turn the keys...then turn them and all the lights will come on and youll have some more detailed info

Once the OIL OK is up with the engine running press the reset button on the clocks for a digital level.
