Got new 182

Finally, after ordering the car in May and being told numerous dates when it will arrive - finally got the car (Artic Blue 182 with cup bits).

I had my checklist thanks to people on this forum and was expecting something to be missing, but everything was fine. Had the front splitter/tyre foam/locking nuts/mats/one touch window etc. I was quite surprised. It also has the red dot on the tyres, so should have the stiffer sidewalls.

The only thing that is missing is the mat fasteners to keep the mats in place. Is this something I can get from parts?

Anyway, it looks stunning, really please with the colour and only driven it a few times at the moment but will build it up slowly.

The red dot is the weak/lighter point of the tyre and NOTHING to do with stiffer sidewalls.

Anyway, that aside enjoy it Mine should be here this week for collection on saturday.

the clips to hold the mats in place will have come with the mats, they should have them for you..

mine was suposd to be ready for thursday pickup but i was told yestday that the car will now arrive at the dealers on thurdays and i can have the car hopefully on monday :S

Good for you mate, but the only annoying problem is the Mini Cooper drivers who all want to prove something, which I still cant figure out what.

Just to add my two cents..

When the delivered my car it had a full tank... not sure what they put in it (I am 90% sure it was some crap)...
Anyway after I drained the whole tank by driving like an arse for the weekend I filled up with some BP 97 super and there WAS a noticable diffirence..

The other day I ran out and put Optimax in and again there is a diffirence the car now feels alot smoother through the gears and is more consistant with its acceleration... the other big diffirence is the whole im MY WALLET !!!

that said there are a number of views from people stating you spend less by using this petrol over all.
