Well done mate!
Yeah, that's a good question.
Also, was/is that your bed or do you have props/a studio.
Was her bedroom. Done a few shoots there actually. Great natural light!
I attended my first amatuer model shoot in June 2012, shooting mainly pinup. After doing a few of those, I was hooked, but wasn't progressing very far. So a fellow photographer mate suggested that if I wanted to further my career, I should book a professional model so not to worry about posing etc. Just focus on the camera, lighting etc.
Best thing I ever did!
So Sept last year I booked Emma Green and it kinda went from there. I turned out to have a bit of a knack for it and went to the next level of "topless glamour" photography in order to try and get published.
from Oct'12 - Jan'13 I worked with a handful of pro glamour models to improve my skills, add to my portfolio and build a good reputation.
By Feb'13 I was being approach by pro models to shoot "syndications", and by March'13 I achieved my first publication in "People" mag in OZ.
Its been seriously hard work and a big strain on my marriage, as I spend more time networking and researching than perhaps I should. But in my eyes its a short term thing that has paid off dividends within such a short space of time.
The buzz you get from a publication or being contacted directly from a pro model who loves your work and wants to shoot is just awesome, and well worth all the stress. My plan is to continue and eventually make it a career if all goes to plan. So fingers crossed!!!!
