got pulled by police. now need new M.O.T

Got pulled over by the police for sppeding late last night. got let off because was not too much over the limit. But they gave me a producer even though i had everything on me except counter part to driving licence.

Also are making me get new m.o.t because i had no drivers side wing mirror and said i need to get a m.o.t done and new mirror. Does this sound right cant they just check it at the station when i give my documents?

Normally just get a Vehicle Defect Rectification Form which needs to be stamped by an MOT station.

was going down some lanes and a flatbed van came flying round the corner. so i stopped on the side of the road and he came flying past and smashed it clean off into my car as i had my window open. Luckily i was wearing sunglasses because the glass bits came flying in aswell and cut my arm up. Van driver drove off

u dont need one for an MOT. If its not present its allowed, however if the wing mirror was there but there was no mirror then it wouldnt pass. I think

Think its one external and one internal. But this might change depending on age of the car and im pretty sure they stipulate that the external mirror (if you only have one) must be on the drivers side.

yeah i think thats what he said. u have to have two as long as one is the driver side mirror

only traffic officers have the authority to snd you for an mot! lol they should have given you a vehicle defect rectification notice, which gives u 14 days to rectify the problem.....(as matt brown said)
