GPS Advice

What's a good one to get?

I want to be able to put a street name in and get a route.

Price is an issue too, don't need any fancy extras, just straight forward GPS.

TomTom gets my vote

Go 300 or One.

Tom tom one is supposed to be superb and its great value you could pick them up for £220 there about £280 now but full UK mapping I think.

just need postcode and house number to get anywhere in the coutry.
plus easy to search by street.

Tom tom one is great. Hasn't lost signal on me yet + can do street name / postcode search. Its smaller than the other tom tom's too.

i bought a Garmin i3 had it about a week now for the price brill. only 144 from woolworths, downloaded speed gatso database no probs good amount of warning if on a tight budget fantastic buy. i would recommend it to anyone just wanting a basic easy to use GPS..
have to use the roller ball to enter address, postcode take a little longer than a touch screen but i think is good as you ant going to be putting in an address when driving are you.....

yup tomtom1 pisses all over the others for the money, or if you have got a symbian phone 'acquire' tomtom mobile 5 and buy a gps receiver off ebay and jobs done, at £40! Works a treat too!

did you get your mobile 5 software to work?

i need to get a larger memory card first before i can try mine :approve:

and a gps receiver lol.

Works an absolute treat mate, pm me if ya want to know summit about it!works exaclty the same as the tomtoms as i took it to work today and compared it to tomtom 1 and its the same but mines got cameras!

eeeer got one off ebay, was unsure whether to get a cheap one or an expensive one so i took my chances and got a cheap one...ill find the link

i didnt get it from that user tho!!!i paid tenner postage do you want the supplier i used?takes a while to track the satelittes but once locked it works a treat!
