Graphics card recommendations

Hey guys my brother is looking to play the new Flight Simulator X and his Radeon 9200 isnt up to much.

As far as im aware his motherboard can accept AGP8x and ive told him he is going to need another 512mb as well as the page file usage during game use with just 512mb was over 512mb.

What is a decent graphics card that wont break the bank and work ok with his system?

Would something like a 9700 Pro give decent performance for him?

For flightsim X id be saying DX10 card would really be needed it is a directx 10 game direct x 9 cards will work but wont get the full effect from all the fancy visuals.

Also 1gig of ram is kind of minimum for something like that now id say 2gigs is probably needed. To be honest its likely to run the newer games he is gonna need a complete upgrade. the 9700pro is rather ancient now. Its a good 4+ years old. Its just going to struggle with newer games.

I've always stuck to Nvidias. Someone on here was selling a 6800 Ultra. Not sure if it was PCI-e or AGP. It's an older card, but it's still mega.

Two 7900s would do the job if you feel like spunking some dosh.
