green gazgas light ?

i have a 172 ff and when i accelerate hard the green gasgaz light flashes normally just before it hit rev limiter, in the manual it says it isnt used so what does it mean

but the manual does say that light is not in use. strange.

Its a kinda like shift light but some people on here would say it aint that :S

Small green light, will be your switch up light, it means your approaching 500RPM before the limiter.

If so its one of the cars that for some reason weren't fitted with the right dials as afaik the RS dials don't have the GAZ/GAS light in them. The gearchange warning light takes its place hence why its lighting up.
