Grrrrr!!! wtf

Car  S'trollin on size 7s
just took my car to the garage for cv-boot check and the chap put it onto a ramp where the jack plates come round on a pivott and line up on four jacking point on the car, checks it over lowers it down and what do i see ... my sideskirt trim has popped off slightly, look under the car n the t**t has bent the jackin point so its bowed upwards and forced the trim to pop off,but wouldnt just push back on. obviously rather slightly fucked off ive said i hope your guna sort that aswel look what its done. he rekons the jackin point has split n just needs pullin together and a quick weld which should force it back into place and then the trim should go back on...hmmm wasnt sure if this was exactly true but when i go to collect it tommoro if it isnt sorted ill be kicking off thats for sure..tosser!

haha id be more worried about the estate (ravenscliffe) that id havto set foot into to go get one, id come out the otherside with no wheels lol

If it's the actual jacking point that's bent then isn't it more a car fault than the bloke's? He can only assume that it's strong enough when jacking it up...?

Or have I missed something? Anyway, if he's sorting it then happy days.

Which garage did you use out of interest mate?.........i did the same thing on mine when i jacked it up using a trolley jack, my jack point bent under though so no real damage to mine........haven't had time to pull it back out yet though.

Aren't those car lifters suppose to lift the car by the box section sub frame anyway and not the flimsy jacking points?

ste.lol lonnngg story but meant to take it to a guy my mum knows ,ended up at wrong garage neway but wasnt bothered .i use a guy called russell hes just moved to down near 5 lane ends scrap yard. but instead i ended up at his old premesis up idle village which some1 has taken over.lol n i duno where they supposed to jack it tbh, it just had 2 arms at either side that swivveled out under the car to each jackin points at either side of the car.

and beef-mc thats exactly what i said the rats are in ravenscliffe and its a diiive!

Oh i see mate :)

It's a shame Bradford seems to get all the crap on the news, we get put in that bracket along with it but to be fair Baildon is miles away from Bradford and is a nice place to live :).........even i don't travel through Bradford though!, thats what ring roads are for ;)

jacking point ; mine is also bent. Inwards though so no prob. I think a proper jacking point is far further inwards or so i've read. On a beam.

This is why I always jack up on the chassis rails/rear beam if I can. The "jacking" points bend like soft french cheese.
