Guide to Lowering Seats

I'm sure someone on here did a guide to lowering the standard seats, but i've done a search and can't find one. Did i imagine this or can someone point me in the right direction?

I did this, and wen tightening the seats back down, it stopped them from moving back and forward freely

Replace the mounts with thinner washers rather than leaving it with nothing, that'll do the trick
