Gumball Rally

Its £5k per person, or £10k per car really, with 2 drivers.

They wouldnt let in a 172/182, they have thousands of pre-entrants, the cars just not distinct enough. A v6 might do it, but you might have to be famous as well

Im going to try my hardest to enter next year, but it wont be with your average road car :D

Oi grandpa, a Golf is an average road car! ;)

they let a 3 series BMD diesel in the Gumball... dont see why you couldnt do it in a Reno... well, apart from youd probably break down on the way there, but thats not the point . lol

  172, Tiguan

They are doing really well this year. Mind with 700 nm of torque its not hard to see why!

Id love to do the Gumball.

A Citroen 2CV did it last year and won The Spirit Of Gumball award despite finishing last.

2 young lads driving it and neither were famous.

yeah they did REAL well last year too, check how close the finish is between them an Kim!!! Awesome stuff!

Adz, think they got that award as the sponsors were shocked it made it and the fact they spent £10k to enter in a car worth less than that! hehe

I think youre right. I understood that the award is for the most original and amusing way of completing the rally.

Dont think it broke doen once either (not bad for French engineering)

Oi baldy. It wont be in my Golf!

To enter the Gumball, the entry has to be original/and or classic/or you have to be blindingly rich or famous. The Ice Cream van was this years mad entry. I can guarantee a 172/182 or even a Golf R32 will not get standard entry.
