You need to take your front bumper off to take the lights off dude.

Once they are off, you need to split the cap and the metal clip and use the metal clip to hold the HID bulb in while you put the wires into the cap. The other wires goes into the ballast. You need to cut a hole in the plastic cap on the headlight aswell to get the wires through for the ballast. Very fiddely but its straight forward enough

so how many bolts are there holding the bumper on, where bouts aree they located to take off bumper

sorry if im bein a dumbass hahaha i work in retail

Jack up the car, unclip the archliners and theres one bolt on each side for the bumper, then unclip the top grille and you should be able to pull the bumper forward enough to unbolt the headlights. There is 1 bolt on the top of the headlights, and two hidden by the bumper

why do you need to take the lights out?

i would of thought it could all be done with them in place

You've got to have the smallest hands in the world to be able to do it with the lights in place, even with a 1.2.

Even my 14 year old brother couldn't get the bulbs to clip in properly.

Gave in in the end and wipped the bumper off, doesn't take long and its much easier

i changed the dipped side main and indicators on my clio 1.6 in 15mins tops

and my hands are a size 10

it's about dexterity;)

Changing normal bulbs is easy.

Its just because you can only use the metal clip to hold the HID bulb in, Can't really get a decent grip to twist it into place

i can't see it being any harder tbh being as hid lamps are bigger

but that might be just me

It's way harder. Trust me.

It's the collets that hold the bulb in that's the hard part. B*stards.
