Maybe worth asking the forum user kamracing or posting in their trader section, I'm sure they sell both so will be able to give you good advice. I ran H&R's on my 182 and they were fine but i have never owned bilsteins so cannot compare the difference for you.

Besides weren't you gona sell your car a couple of months ago?

Narh Av It'll be taken off the road sometime in the future and used as a track toy but for the moment it's a daily hack.

I've heard such good things about billies that I rather had my heart set on them, but I can get the H&R's soon as opposed to the indefinate wait for billies, and I REALLY need to get shot of my VMAXX as low as they go, I can't get on with them.

I've had both. Ran 2 sets of H&R on my 172 Cup and 182, and a set of B14's on my recent 172 cup. Good quality both kits, although i'd say the B14's were better in build. H&R's are slightly softer imo

Cant go wrong with either though

I've had two sets of H&R's and rate them very highly. I never drove the Billies but IIRC they're a little firmer damped/sprung so I would say it comes down to what use the car gets if it's more track work wait for the billies as the H&R's may prove a little soft but if it's primarily road use they're pretty much perfect.

No. Rears are completely different units

H&R do go rusty. The billies i had didnt, but i only had them 6 months (sold the car lol)

You could PM Bill on here, he now has it

Which parts actually go rusty? Can it not be treated prior to fitment? Been looking at some H&Rs myself - not too keen on the Vmaxx I have, super low but soft.

Coilovers pretty much all suffer a lesser or greater amount of corrossion. You should be expecting to carry out routine cleaning and maintenance on whatever set you opt for. Mine did not rust for the record and my car was a daily drive and had the H&R's used during two winters. Keep them cleaned and you'll have no dramas.
