Had a Crash in my 182!!!!

Wasn't my fault though, everyone in front of me slammed on their brakes, I stopped in time and then this van smashed into the back of me, and I hit the car in front due to the van hitting me. I'm ringing the insurance people tomorrow.

It happened on the A34 just before Oxford. My bonnet doesn't close properly, but at the end of the day its only a car, I'm just thankful that it wasn't a big lorry as it would have been much much worse.

Yeah, i've been to the hospital, she said I had over stretched my muscles in the accident. Didn't mention whiplash though. But its on record that i've been to the Hospital and i've got given a advice sheet on neck injuries.

My neck is really stiff today, but its been logged that i've been to the hospital. I'm claiming through a local solicitors which means they do all the work and I will not pay any excess.

Yeah, the exhaust is bend where it goes through the cat. Will I need a new exhaust? They said the car should be in the garage on Monday with my courtesy car!!

Is your bonnet being held down by the catch?

If so I would wire it down because depending on which year your car is there was a fault with the bonnet catches on clios, I had a small accident in mine and wired down the bonnet, luckily, because I was on my way to an exam and the catch failed, 1 minute later I got pulled over by the police, luckily it wasn't for overtaking them

Sorry to hear about your accident mate. Dunc had exactly the same thing happen with a white van years ago in his Pug D Turbo. I think a rear end shunt is the thing I fear the most whilst driving as, even if you can tell it's going to happen there is very litte you can do about it if you have other cars infront of you.

Glad you weren't seriously hurt. Hope everything goes well with insurance and repairs.

yea like a few have said some people drive too too close had some civic up my ass on monday morning stopped the car in the road and asked him why he is driving so tight to my bumper to which he didnt reply lol

emm cars had it m8 complete write off id say think you should strip it and sell me the parts CHEAP! lol

unlucky pal them sprinters come keen when they hit ya. he must of hit you hard to cause that much damage to his bumper i use to work for merc and i lost one in the snow bent a railing on side of road and barely marked the van. needless to say the gaffer wont r8 happy oops !

Well everything is fine now, sorry fot not updating this thread for a while the damage cost the insurance £3,500 to get the car fixed, I had my bonnet re-spayed. New front bumper and grill, new exhaust, new rear bumper and number plate, and my bonnet straightened and then resprayed!!

All good now, very happy with the work. I went through Winn Solicitors instead of my insurance!!
