Echo the comments of others Lee, really gutted for you.

Was great to meet you and see the car on track yesterday. I passed you about 10 seconds after your spin and have no idea how this guy could have been that high through Clearways to hit you, unless as you say he was passing under yellows.

Fingers crossed the damage isn't as bad as first thought.

LOL! I can imagine on another forum! "Stupid w**k in a clio spun and i had no where to go!"

Good effort!

not looked too hard as of yet but left hand side doesnt look to bad but right side will need a lot of tugging and straightening.

Nothing a jig and a couple of ton of pull can't sort out!

If you need such stuff doing, let me know. We have a GlobalJig at work which that would go on nicely.

This is a joke!

(sorry, never done a trackday) but you're not insured at all????

Surely it's his fault and owes you???

I'd be furious. This is the number1 reason I wouldn't do a trackday.

TBH, not that its much comfort to Lee, this type of incident is very rare.

You only insure your own car on a track day IIRC, no third party style insurance.

It's always a risk you take and Brands has few areas of the track where you are likely to hit too much when you go off, however you can't account for other dickheads on the track.

typical audi assholes, as long as you weren't hurt. Hope you get your car fixed looks nasty, i'd cry if that happened to my car lol.

Its a trackday, you have to expect it. Hard luck all the same.

I doubt it was all the audi' fault, either.

And lol at "Should have lamped him" - come on, your all about 4ft.

It was, Lee was off the track, Audi unsteered into him, whilst overtaking, on a dodgy corner, under yellow flags, having driven like a nob end all day.

Time Attack = chequebook racing drivers.

Gutted for you Lee, again, i dont know you personally, but to see that happen was gutting. The attitude of the A3 driver was fairly typical tbh, big power, big money, 'i own the track' type.

So which part of 'understeered' 'overtake' and 'yellow flags' makes it not the Audi drivers fault?

And im 6ft 3".

granted prob my fault i spun, cold slicks on the rear but on from there should never have happened, so maybe close your noise hole

looks nasty, hope you get something sorted,
i think there should always be groups for trackdays, and testing therefor splitting the red mist blinded racers form the general out to have a good time trackday driver

the before pic looked awsome, hopefully the re-shell, re built etc ends with the same result

  Trophy Turbo :)
This is bad. Audi drivers fault end of story,

But the thing is on the track no one is insured and its the risk you take!

Good luck with the repairs mate

Shame to see this, how the hell the Audi driver can pin it on you is beyond me!

Surely the organisers must have had something to say? Overtaking when theres a yellow flag...

Shocking....

Hope he wasn't the one in the smash! He needed a moment to compose himself and face the driver of the S3 who he f*cked up...

Looked like he lost it on Clearways, and was trying to re-enter the track, when along came a very quick S3, with nowhere to go, and BANG !!

What a ballbag, completely full of s**t!

Love how he says nothing about 2 blue cups pushing him along also. Might dent his pride/reputation on that fatheaded forum...

I wouldn’t normally sign up to a forum, purely to disagree with someone, but your comment has been linked elsewhere and it didn’t impress me in the slightest.

1. The Cup Race car had spun at Clearways, it was off the track, with the engine off. It was waiting for all the cars on track to go by, before re-joining.
2. Yellow flags were being waved by the Marshall’s.
3. The A3 (which had been driving fairly aggressively all day long i might add), appeared to be attempting an overtake, on the outside, understeered & went straight into the front of the clio, destroying it basically.
4. To be driving in that manner, under yellows, is unacceptable.

Yes, thats the worry with track days, but the crash was completely avoidable imho.

As an aside, it was nice to see some Audi's being driven properly, shame the typical trait of understeer caused a crash. Perhaps if the A3 had offered up some steering feel and/or feedback it might have been avoided.

It would have been nice if the guy held his hands up and said its my fault, but he is still under no obligation to pay any compensation and the end result is the same. Its a sad tale of events.
Race teams are using track days as cheap test days and this is going to cause problems. Noone should be driving near 100% or beyond at a trackday. Its simply not the environment to be taking risks as there are going to be less experienced drivers, and slower cars with less protection than a full on racecar.

I'm not saying the guy should pay, thats all part and parcel of doing a trackday. You pay your money you take your risk.

But if I was the Audi driver, I would have been asking if theres anything I could do/help with recovery/saying sorry/offering a bit of my time on a weekend or evening to help repair it.

Its just manners. I'd feel fcuking awful if i'd just written someones pride and joy off!
